Lots of neighborhoods just don't have that many kids left. They've grown. Easily 80% of my suburban neighborhood is over 65. And they've been here since the 90s.
When young families can't buy homes their trick-or-treating becomes relegated to their apartment complex or (when those complexes are sketchy) to trunk or treats.
Why bother a grocery store? Not advocating for anyone to break into a Republican Congress person's house, but I'm sure their pantry is going to be plenty stocked while this is going on. Maybe knock on their door and ask. Doesn't matter when. Day or night. Right after they told you no. Whenever. I'm sure they'll share what they have /s
Maybe deploy some of those National Guardsmen to protect your citizens from Fed overreach? Or, you know, use the cops you already have for this. Would maybe help rehab the CHP/CPD's image by having them actually protect and serve.
Don't kill yourself accidentally growing the wrong mushrooms. Yes sterilize your growing medium. But better, look up the uncle bens (rice) method for growing mushrooms. Shits easy.
