  • The game must be a GOTY contender or I'm not gonna pick it up at full price. I have no issues paying up for a new, unique experience that sounds exciting. Games I know I like, but rehash an old formula land on the wishlist until they are 30% off. Games that look cool, are recommended, but I'm not sure I will like them land on the wishlist and need to be below $20 when I buy.

With these simple rules I still have too many unplayed and unfinished games in my library, so... yeah.. you gonna have to take some risks to win big.

  • Yes. Swiss right wing politician Glarner sued for being called a right wing extremist. We're now officially allowed to call him an extremist.

  • Me too. Linux already comes without warranty. This warning basically just says that if the user enables the AI agent all guarantees are off. They didn't bother putting safeguards in and don't want to be responsible for it.

  • Fear of crime. People hope the crazies will be caught online before they hurt us.

  • I wouldn't be so sure. This is an executive order, not a law. We can't start referenda against executive orders. The underlying legal framework that allows these for surveillance (Büpf) was passed although the people had a chance to reject it. I share your hope, but not the optimism.

  • I've heard it from friends. They got the freshly newborn baby in there arms and immediately feel like they wanna do this again.

  • The peritoneum is very sensitive and blood in the abdominal cavity is a warning for internal bleeding. So it's very painful for quite some time even when the bleeding is under control.

  • Blood in the abdominal cavity is extremely painful. That alone is an issue, yes.

  • They literally have hormons to forget the worst of birth.

  • Still doesn't, but X11 randomly freezes the desktop. US keyboard is still better than random hangups that require a power cycle.

  • Absolutely making cuts or risky changes in your life would be much easier to stomach if your job allows you to live carefree.

  • I love the series, but I played the games when they came out. It's true that the level design of ML2 suffers from it being a cover shooter and ML1 is very dated now.

Which of the three titles did you hate most/represents your dislike best?

  • My wife is Latina and she definitely complains much more about this than Western women have. Machista behavior is too normalized.

  • But they prefer the right over the left because of taxes and regulations. I wonder when companies will flip, because they cannot handle the business impact of bullshit decisions like random tariffs or lawsuits over made up controversies any longer.

  • I became way more productive. Cleaned up and organized everything. Just made me go.

  • Yeah, I don't disagree with that. Just wanted to highlight that strong software projects are not enough.

I work in SW for a device vendor and I see how much communication there is between OS, vendors and everything in between.

  • I'm in Japan right now and the country is being overrun (I'm part of the problem). When I lived here a decade back every place was so much calmer.

And I do see a lot of shitty behavior, but I can't say if it's more.

  • Probably Egypt. Went to Hurghada and from the first moment I got there I was being scammed. The aggressiveness and directness of the scamming is something I've never seen and I've been almost everywhere. Only Morrocco comes close to it. I usually take it easy, but there one cap driver had me literally screaming at him for some fucking humanity. 75% of the people there see you as nothing more than a walking and breathing sac of money to be squeezed.

    Never again.
