I was so up for getting one until I heard the strategy on pricing, now I'm thoroughly disinterested in owning one, but am still hopeful that this will help open up the latest Steam OS builds for custom devices
I moved to GrapheneOS about a month ago, not too long after the announcement. Bought a used Pixel and jumped. TBH moving to Graphene was something I'd considered for a while for privacy reasons but Google gave me that last push.
There are some different ways of doing things but I've really enjoyed the transition overall.
This is a great point. We spend so much time naval gazing on the best platform for our side, but what about the other side? Might as well use any old service and encrypt your private comms specifically. Yes it's effort to encrypt but I think it's the best compromise of privacy without housing your own mailserver
