  • Please keep an eye on us. We have a lot of history with THP, the national guard and race relations.

There is full political buy in. What happens here will probably be a blueprint.

This seems to be the 30,000 number, but it looks like it's mostly a nebulous increase in most other places.

It's all over the Wikipedia and stuff.

I'm pretty sure well round up the homeless next, but nobody outside really has any idea what's going on.

Though, I guess political prisoners might make sense too. We already use it for stuff that is not completely in alignment with our values.

Hell, Trump's homies may get paid even if nobody ever goes there.

  • Idk how you got down voted for that. I think it's a good piece of information to share and adds to the conversation nicely.

  • It'd be funnier if it somehow had humans evolved and progressed completely differently from us.

  • I read that and I'm not to sure I understand the point the writer is trying to make.

  • I cruised reddit the other day and was surprised at the boomer sexism all over the page.

  • Lol, that's odd. I guess he's probably had some surgery or something?

  • I can't help but feel nervous when world leaders start talking about and confounding Israel/Jewish people, especially with the rise in authoritarian politics.

I don't think I have a certain fear, but I worry about strong emotions/race/and politicians.

  • Throw it into the harbor!

  • How do you know it's AI?

  • Yeah, I don't understand either (not that I should). It's almost like their corruption moves the opposite way from ours. I'm used to US companies asking for presents and considerations and government supplying. I think it may work differently in China?

Maybe it's just what growth/expansion phase of capitalism looks like and why it was so exciting for so many.

I also imagine we're not seeing the whole picture. As we are only allowed government approved messaging.

Honestly, I can see the benefits of training and integrating the technology of Internet into their culture, before exposing the population to new ideas. Not that I think that's the design, but it may end up being an unintentional consequence.

    Edit:

I guess it's sort of what happened when the US started building up the old bones of the internet, out companies had a defacto leg up.

If China keeps their Internet bubble, with it's social structure and deep deep economic ties, then if you want access to the Chinese market, you'll have to use their Internet and be subject to the government, probably utilizing their people to negotiate.

They're not selling pickaxes to golf diggers, they already own the mine.

    /Basically conjecture

  • George Henderson saves Bigfoot! I wish he was my dad!

  • God gives grace to those he blesses, or something idk.

I've actually been in a US Southern megachurch, that "interpreted" that verse.

They went on about how certain gates were called needles and camels fit through very nicely, they just had a different gate, maybe put down their stuff first.

I just remembered the gist: obey and God gives you stuff, your stuff is a symbol of your piety and proof that you are one of God's chosen.

  • I've informed several people that their healthcare is provided by Obamacare.

It just slips right between the synapses

  • I doubt the numbers reflect that, but I'm sure it's the messaging.

  • Not declined military, but there have been a real significant shift to special forces. I think these groups will still be utilized for foreign industry interest. It's pretty effective.

Ironically, assuming we don't destroy our own infrastructure, a modern police state might better fit for the lionshare of US military. Lack of infrastructure and basic services were a huge part of the reconstruction or whatever failing in both states. Plus air superiority just comes free.

Anti-insurgency and occupation are really the only thing the military at large has proved itself capable of supporting.

I don't think we have the capacity to invade hold, and strip mine Venezuela, but with Europe looking East, I guess we could shift to a wartime economy and make it a project.

  • The fifties are trying

  • I remember running around twenty years ago asking people (generally educated successful people) how they define capitalism.

Most people are not 100% sure, so they usually guess some form of market and blend it with consumerism.

My guess is that most of this came from Mikhail Gorbachev advertising for Pizza Hut.

  • Yeah, maybe nobody is sure what she believes, but she does believe it and that's almost refreshing.
