  • He is going to get it off github. He said he'd make it closed source

  • I was forced to read Animal Farm in early high school and didn't like it or really try to understand it. I re-read it as an adult just because I wanted to and I loved it. Any time there was a reading project with a list of books to choose from rather than a single forced choice, I enjoyed it way more. The choice really does make a difference

  • Lmao, are you gonna be tested on the genealogy in Genesis 5

  • I agree it's a valid complaint, as in it's expected to be complained about. It's not so valid to expect the pharmacy to actually change anything. There are a million and one solutions to their problem. If it's just the sharp edges, they can clip those off with some rounded nail clippers. If they have trouble getting them out of the pack, there are any number of tools/solutions to get the pill out to make it easier.

I think this post is valid as mildly infuriating, since it's not that big of a deal. But calling it an infuriating puzzle is pretty wild. Idk what puzzles you are doing

  • Could also use a nail file on the sharp edges, or use the curved nail clippers to clip the sharp point. Seems like a lot of solutions to me

  • Holy shit. I hope they never find out, they'd probably be devastated. What next, do you spit lies when someone asks how you're doing???

Lmao. Imagine getting such a late start on embedded systems.

  • The list is literally endless, and more often than not specific to what you specifically need. Here are some things I have setup:

    • If my wife texts me "911" it turns my ringer volume to 100%
    • When my phone battery is below 5% and my home wifi is not nearby, it will send a text to my wife to let her know my phone might die
    • I split my photos into different folders based on GPS coordinates in the exif data. I have one for home and work, then a default
    • Backup files to my server when I am on my wifi
    • Tracks how much time I am spending at work by checking when I am near my works WiFi
    • Auto-enable Wire guard when I leave my home network
    • Stores my phones location whenever it disconnects from my cars bluetooth (basically a local parked car location reminder)
    • If I turn on my flashlight while pressing the volume down button it instead opens a "flashlight app" that is just a solid color on the screen. This allows me to use a light source without it being the full brightness of the flashlight. Nice when you have a sleeping partner
    • I have been using DailyYou and forget to take pictures, so I have it open the app for me every 30 minutes after the reminder notification until I take the picture.

I have also used it previously for job specific tasks. Like I had a button on my home screen that would open a menu with a list of options, and then I would select one of the options. It just saved that selected text and the current time into a file so I could reference what time I did something.

If you have any sort of smart home, the options just keep growing.

  • That's the "better" reaction channels. There are channels that record singer generic reactions (no commentary) and put them over hundreds of videos despite the reactions not making sense at all

  • Oh, like a data storer!

  • What's with television stars running countries?

  • If you see more than 3 EM dashes in a body of text, it's 100% AI. I have found random online articles where there is at least two em dashes every paragraph. No human wrote that shit. A human is lucky to get away with one em dash (and it's been that way before AI).

  • Certain files, involving a certain island.

  • "You're overthinking it" - real response from my management

  • What source do you have that links it to down syndrome? When people are dumbfounded, they often open their mouth. One of the definitions of "Slack Jawed" is: lacking intelligence or sophistication.

Also, mouth breathing can impact the development of ones face, where you have less muscle tone and a more elongated face. These traits are sometimes associated with someone with less intelligence. Nowhere do I see anything about the term referencing/originating from Down Syndrome.

  • You could save on gas by riding a bicycle, but most people wouldn't do that because it's an inconvenience. You could save money on heating by setting the thermostat to 60°F in the winter, but that's too low for most people. The list goes on about things you don't do to save money because it's an inconvenience

  • Yea, well fuck you
