  • Yw 😘

  • "under bed restraints" is what you're looking for, I don't feel like digging up the link for my exact ones from years ago lol

  • I also have those, would recommend

  • Timmy want robux?

  • Mormons used to (some still do) practice polygamy and we had just as much, if not more of a problem with their practices as we do with "foreigners".

From my perspective as another polyamorous person, I think polygamy is kinda fucked up, at least in the ways it manifests today. It's an inequitable power dynamic that relies on the exploitation of women. I'm all about subversion and defiance of hierarchies. Polygamy reinforces those hierarchies

  • I probably fit the "inclusive bisexual" definition better but prefer the label pan. I also like the bi flag better so if I'm ever throwing a flag up it's usually bi lol. I use pan because I'm agender and it feels kinda weird to say that gender is something I care about when it isn't, but I find myself more attracted to people that present either androgynous or feminine, but not really masc (except for the ladies sometimes). All that to say, these labels are basically pointless and only serve to (poorly) provide a surface level summary of whatever the hell is going on in our heads

  • The first person to experience that, along with their doctors, must've been freaking the fuck out lmao

  • What part of the comment you originally responded to ever mentioned that they were an influencer/intended to profit off of their ADHD? You're fighting ghosts bud. Additionally, you have no way of knowing if these "assholes on social media" are: 1. Lying about their condition 2. Profiting from it and 3. Only doing it for clout. Maybe you're just annoyed by neurodivergent people being visible and having a platform?

Are you really surprised there's a large presence of neurodivergent people in this niche corner of the internet? ADHD (and autism) are mentioned often here because a bunch of people on lemmy are chronically online neurodivergent dorks.

Maybe don't accuse people of faking something and being disrespectful to "those suffering". I have ADHD, my entire life isn't suffering. I also agree that hitting a bowl when your Adderall kicks in is a nice experience. Are the pleasant aspects of my existence invalid because I'm supposed to be suffering all the time in your eyes? Are we not allowed to be proud of the way our mind works and celebrate those aspects of ourselves that we enjoy when those aspects are intertwined with our ADHD? From the bottom of my heart, eat shit and mind your own business

  • Or... Maybe it's because we have a better understanding of ADHD now and a lot of adults who were failed by the system as children are finally coming to understand themselves and be taken seriously by healthcare providers.

But probably not. Your short sighted, inflammatory, bigoted bullshit is defintiely correct.

  • Florida too, even on cloudy days the uv index is nuts here

  • The things we do for shrimp

  • Fascists are cowards. A brick to the face will keep most of them from putting themselves in situations conducive to future bricks to the face

  • I was right there with you for most of my life. Antidepressants changed that for me but I know not everyone is depressed/has access to psych care. Hopefully it clicks for you one day

E: Dawkins is the transphobe, not me

  • Just a word of warning. If you don't want to do it, you're never going to. I don't mean "I want to want to do it", but actually desire to do it. I paid for a membership for years before I actually went consistently. That money could've been spent a million different ways that were better than paying for something I had no desire to use

  • That's why I have my meds, deodorant, shoes, hair brush, and hair ties on/near my coffee table. I make my coffee every morning, sit at the couch and (except brushing my teeth) get ready for the day. I let my brain put things where it'll actually use them.

I just moved a few weeks ago. At my last place all of that was in my kitchen. It's weird how moving changes where my brain wants to do stuff
