  • Come join us at !transit@lemmy.autism.place

It's not really active since we haven't hit the user count threshold, but I'm hopeful we'll get there 😎

  • Also, wouldn't the body just be considered allergic to that substance, rather than saying it is confusing the substance for something similar it is allergic to?

  • I'm also using a to don't list. Whenever I get a crazy idea and think "why not?" I pull out my to don't list and make sure I haven't already banned myself from that behavior.

  • lol, how funny! Im happy you enjoyed it ♥️

  • Nice try, FBI/CIA

  • Wtf. How can anyone eat that? It would be like dropping a bomb in my stomach.

If there are any non-Americans seeing this thing and thinking, "What's wrong with Americans‽" this is not a normal thing for people to consume here in the US. I will never have that drink. Not because I'm controlling myself for my health, but because I would be too repulsed by that much sweetness and heaviness. This is made for a specific portion of the population: those that are struggling with eating healthy. Of everyone I know, I can only think of two people that could even consume that thing, and both of them have a poor relationship with food.

  • Seems like a hell of a way to commit suicide. Your name will be remembered for centuries.

  • omg, is this one of those things where everyone knew they meant something, but I thought it was something else, so I go off on some unprompted lesson of facts and people roll their eyes at me? lol

  • Also, one is an elite federal police officer that passed extremely stringent background checks, has an extraordinary employment history, has completed the world's best body guard training. The other made it thru a 5-month certification process at the local community college.

  • Ah, so the 3rd degree burns will come from light, not air temperature?

  • Until just now, this guy seemed to be a legit stable Republican: conservative social values and conservative fiscal policy. Apparently, I was mistaken. This guy's public political values and stances were always what he needed to get ahead. Now, the dude did a surprise complete 180° on Trump, ruining any view of stability and trust the rational public had in him, just to run as Trump's Vice President? A combat veteran that is now running under a convicted felon that attempted to overthrow the previous presidential election and has evident ties with Russia? No way. The Russians def got dirt on his ass. No one gets to work for Trump unless there's coercive control. They've got kompromat on Vance, so they know he wont be a hero. Instead, he will follow orders. Vance has been compromised.

Looking at the big picture, I'm thinking one of the few ways out of this mess is to give politicians an amnesty period. It will suck to let them get away with it, but they're getting away with it anyway and bringing the country down in the process. Unless some super clean hero that also has insane political capital comes along, we either we let compromised politicians openly get away with whatever the Russians uncovered and clean up this Russian coup, or we let them get away with it and fall into an autocracy allied with Russia.

  • It's insane that one bomb can basically wipe out an entire metropolitan area that spans several counties. I tried dropping the same one on my city to get a more intimate perspective, and holy crap. The people getting 3rd degree burns wouldn't even consider themselves to be in my metropolitan area. They'd be thinking they're entirely somewhere else.

Luckily, no one makes bombs with this high a yield. I think the highest yield of any deployed weapon is ~10% of that Tsar Bomba one. One would still destroy my city, but it wouldn't completely erase it.

  • That yellow ring represents a 100% probability of 3rd degree burns. Aside from being in a nuclear bunker underground, I have no idea what kind of cover will protect someone from that kind of injury.
