Other me's:@Auster | @Auster1 | @Auster(I have other alts, but if a profile claims to be me, doubt it)

  • From skimming the article, the author seems to be recommending eating because it's tasty? Title is misleading if so.

Also people shouldn't forget meat, so their muscles can better grow.

  • I'd add to the suggestions Friendica too. Unfamiliar with Piefed (maybe I'll create an account on the flagship instance to try out), but the other two also allow following microblogging stuff (e.g. Mastodon), as well as having microblogging functions to thread posts (e.g. boosting and tags).

  • Preaching the choir here, but please use it as a motivation to feed the fediverse more. 👌

And related to this, a good use of the fediverse is that, if there's nothing inherently bad about what you're trying to post but your chosen instance is tripping like Reddit, you can just give the finger to it and pick another instance. Or if the community is the one tripping, you can make your own, or look for an already existing alternative.

  • All sources are biased. The ones that say they aren't are trying to trick you. Understanding the bias of what you consume allows sifting through to get the information.

  • Virginia bat vs Fennec fox, who can listen to thoughts better? 🤭

  • So... Next update leak?

  • Arch should be in its own tier: BTW

  • Portugués brasileño =)

  • No soy nativo hablante.

  • A few asked there before about RSS, including myself, but the more, the merrier.

  • No RSS feed still and I don't like opening sites just to see if there's news.

  • It's certainly annoying to have to disable both kvm modules whenever wanting to use it.

Also I know I can set the commands to run on startup, but feels a bit nuclear for how much I use it.

  • Not quite the same, but since Reddit doesn't want you there, why not try feeding other forums? There's plenty outside of the fediverse too.

  • Biggest middle finger I could give to Google, never being unsubscribed from channels they shadowban, unless they temper their (seemingly forgotten) RSS feed function itself. Also the same channels saved on Grayjay and PipePipe for redundancy sake.

  • As for a specific instance, maybe point to medium-sized servers, so bigger ones don't get more stressed than they already are, and the user isn't greeted by a barren default feed were they to join a smaller one?

  • All news are biased. The ones that say otherwise are trying to trick you into being more susceptible to what they want.

  • I sometimes worry that most of my posts from lemmy.dbzer0.com have been sorta doomeristic. Does anyone have any good Lemmy communities that would act as palate cleansers?
