  • 👋

They are so underrated. It's crazy.

  • I never hear anyone talk about it ever and it's one of my favorite games. I think it's a work of art, really. To me it's underrated.

  • Hyper Light Drifter for gaming.

Extol (Norway) for music, specifically the album "Burial".

  • Hannah Fry is great too. Becky Smethurst as well.

I approve of your list but Anton Petrov is a bit much for a 12 year old, I think. Kyle Hill gets a bit dark for a 12 year old sometimes.

It certainly doesn't hurt to just start off on the right foot with Carl Sagan and Cosmos.

  • The main difference between Luge and Skeleton (beyond the obvious) is that in Luge you launch and accelerate with your hands and arms. In Skeleton you do so with your legs. That's a big reason why they're both valid as olympic sports.

  • You gotta block what you don't wanna see or choose an instance that has similar values to you as they'll be defederated from a lot of shit you don't wanna see.

  • Ok, that makes sense.

  • Your downsides make me think you work for a pretty shitty company. I don't work a second longer than scheduled ever. If I want to take a sick day I don't even tell them why. They don't care. If I go over my allocation they might ask what's up but that has never happened.

  • I miss EVE. 2010 to 2015 was when I played. It was excellent.

  • These people have 0 usefulness outside of helping the guy print a pdf...

Until you click on a phishing link.

This is the curse of IT. Perpetually undervalued yet absolutely essential. If IT were ever to disappear, the businesses they support become walking corpses.

It chaps my ass that everyone working in business has grown up with computers being essential to business yet its somehow still acceptable for them to be functionally illiterate in using them.

Sometimes its so fucking bad that the equivalent would be someone being granted a drivers license and given a car but they have no idea how to put it in park, let alone use the brakes.

IT are the Dunedain Rangers protecting The Shire. They're not popular, they're barely acknowledged, often scorned, but without their presence The Shire cannot be.

  • It's definitely not me. I don't use that shit for anything. I hope it stays down forever.

  • I disagree. Dave's voice still sounds good enough on the records. His snarl is his trademark regardless of how good he actually was in his prime.

I want to hear Dave Mustaine's voice, not some wasteful computer's version of it.

  • Huh, that's an interesting one. I'm glad I'm not the only one hearing something weird.

  • Haha! I'm so sorry. Plz don't hurt me lol Also, you gotta let me know what you hear when you get around to it! I'm very curious.

  • I have tried to hear that instead of "Hot pickle!" for years and I just can't. This feels like another of of those blue dress/yanni things to me.

  • I heard "Hot pickle!" in a completely unrecognizable accent and have been confused ever since. Was it Mario that said that? Lakitu? Whose voice is that if not Mario's and if it is Mario... What the hell? Lol

He says it when you select a level to play.

  • We have fuel tanker trucks and rail cars already. Could we not run a similar arrangement with batteries on a truck or train car?

  • I'd gladly never touch a computer again before I ever bent the knee to such madness.
