You make some valid points. Sorry for the snark of the previous comment, it's increasingly difficult to tell if people are actually wanting to have a conversation or if they are just arguing in bad faith.

Honestly, I think we're at the point where there isn't an option that leads to a non-violent outcome. The admin has made it clear that they intend to act as genocidally as they can get away with in regards to both immigrants and trans people. Peaceful protest hasn't accomplished anything significant, and democrats in Congress have done next to nothing. Either the right escalates their violence unchecked or they escalate and the left starts fighting. I don't see a timeline where this admin doesn't further escalate their brownshirt activity and erosion of basic civil rights, unfortunately.

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm staying armed just in case.
