OK: dispatch tech workers to cut out every microphone, network antenna etc. on the vehicles before they're sold to Canadians. If the vehicles don't work with said things cut, ask some VERY hard questions of China as to why they have sent us defective merchandise to our country, and make them justify why these items need those bits to work.
Similarly, any MAC address, BLE device, LTE modem, etc. in Chinese EVs could be enumerated upon entry to the border, and blacklisted by Canadian ISPs and mobile providers so their traffic cannot leave our borders. There are a myriad of data exfiltration experts who could advise the government on how to protect against such things.
We can do this with our eyes open and play hardball. We don't have to be rubes.
I am outside the US so I didn't know this. So... Unions, whose biggest and perhaps only effective weapon against exploitation, the strike, cannot, by law, call for a strike. And it's a federal offense for federal workers to do so?
It's something (words -- maybe not 'something' in these times). But will the union demand their members to strike? I mean, that's the most (only) meaningful action a Union can do; it's sort of what they're for, right? Right?
The NRA needs to STFU at this point. They enabled this. Their followers are either collaborators (being ICE), or cowards who cosplayed defending against Authoritarianism; the time they could have mobilized to assert their Holy 2nd Amendment is already long past.
Of course it's neither and both -- they just wanted the money.

First, apparently, it will be too expensive to have access to a personal computer, since that allows processing and/or distributing information which might dispute the approved narrative: hence the global hoarding of DRAM by AI companies. Then, travel will be made impractical, so we cannot organize against, relocate or flee our local governments.

Seriously, invite her to discuss all of this over a sumptuous meal at one of Minnesota's finest restaurants. Treat her with the utmost respect, listen to her arguments, and assure her they will be dealt with at the highest priority, if it will ensure the safety of Minnesotans. Shake her hand and solemnly state that this will be resolved immediately.
Beforehand, take no extraordinary steps to ensure that (why would anyone? How could such a thing happen?!) a massive dose of laxatives and fart-powder, or... something... somehow against all odds fell into her stew/soup/salad. She'll be on the plane back, an hour or so later, when it all hits, and it'll be glorious.
