Respecting my boundaries. If someone knows that a certain thing like ribbing me or making some unsolicited criticism annoys me and they still do it, they're not good friends and I start reconsidering my relationship with them. Those who respect my boundaries and limits know they'll get that in return and have become by best mates for years.
Israel just launched a large assault in a clear violation of the ceasefire. Who can expect them to keep a promise for 5 years when they can't keep one for a few days?
Same for bicycle lanes. I've had people pull up and stop right on my lane in front of me, fully expecting me to go around them while exposing myself to oncoming traffic instead of waiting 5 seconds for me to pass.
