  • Are the admins of lemmy.today shown to be fascist? I haven't heard anything about that. I guess if you consider them allowing Monk to do this, they're at least allowing it

  • "Thanks, friend!"

  • Don't forget the obligatory "thanks, friend!"

  • I picked Lemmy.today because it allows me to block instances instead of the admins deciding which to defed from. But I do acknowledge that it allows a lot of freaks in.

  • Do the fans come on during charging if you're not using it?

  • I don't have dozens, but I have 3. Those three are close family members. Do you think people don't invite their parents or inlaws to their Plex server?

  • Sure, but plenty of journalists use the em-dash. That's where LLMs got it from originally. It alone is not a signature of LLM use in journalistic articles (I'm not calling this CTO guy a journalist, to be clear)

  • I mean.. has anyone other than the company that made the tool said so? Like from a third party? I don't trust that they're not just advertising.

  • I miss the mailed DVDs..

  • I've heard that these tools aren't 100% accurate, but your last point is valid.

  • Can you fly out to my MIL every time her router breaks and fix it for her?

Edit: holy shit, your edits are insane

  • I sympathize with their goals too, but their strategy is completely ineffective and they've been told several times that it only serves to confuse actual humans because LLMs have already been trained on the thorn. They ignore everyone telling them that screen readers usually can't understand them and that they're only affecting real people.

Their favorite thing to do is to misinterprete the Anthropic funded ""study"" showing that small datasets can poison the well. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that the rest of their content is accurate and factual, thus they are not poisoning the well in any fashion.

Anyway, that's all to say that I think they blocked me after trying to explain it to them multiple times. That, or they're just fully ignoring me. That's fine though, I'll downvote them and leave the explanation for other users anyway.

  • I don't intend to live forever, that sounds rough as hell.

  • Private space works slightly differently especially when it comes to folder organization. Because of that I actually still prefer Shelter, personally.

  • I think it's produced by Bryan Cranston so I have a little hope, but you are correct in being cautious

  • Yeah, I guess I knew what they were, but it seems like it would be rough to use on an Android TV in the browser compared to purpose built TV applications.

  • I downloaded TizenTube Cobalt as a replacement until the dust settles. Obviously similar attacks can happen with TizenTube, but if you want something that is clean right now, that's the way to go.

  • The original mic was not a czn-15e, but yes, in modern repairs, you can drop that one in. It did not exist in 1998. You still haven't provided anything concrete, and I wish you would so we could be putting even amount of effort into finding the facts instead of you insisting something, and then me looking into it only to be a dead end. Since you claim to repair them, can you show me the wiring diagram of where newly recorded information is stored, and how that functions?

The talkboy is a different product, in price, size and design. So no, it wouldn't have been profitable for the creator to put actual recordability into them with a not-yet-invented microphone when people were already convinced otherwise (apparently, yourself included, even when I've provided the creator's own words, and a wiki page outlining exactly how to get them to respond, because they didn't record anything and were preprogrammed). You're gonna have to try harder than that, and provide evidence if you want people to believe the disproven (more than 25 years ago) claim that you are making.

Why did the NSA drop this ban if they were recording new data? Are they stupid?

Are you going to keep avoiding my question about concrete details?
