  • Good point.

  • Chaos is what they're likely striving for in my opinion.

  • So Trump is just like Putin attacking Ukraine?

Similar, although without the intent of territorial expansion (most likely), and with successful kidnapping of the head of state. Not only would this be illegal per US law, but it's also likely internationally illegal. Trump just doesn't give a fuck about laws, since no one in power has really challenged him. He's going to get away with this one, too.

  • Mike Lee is one of the fucks responsible for allowing Trump to do this, to be clear. I don't see this actually crossing any sort of line for him.

  • LLM sludge

  • While the article could very well be slop (and I'm not defending it either way, also fuck the CEO of microsoft), it's very common for (actual) journalists to use the emdash, that's where the models likely picked it up from to begin with. I hesitate to use the emdash alone as an indicator for slop. When it's paired with lists, lots of bold, over embellishments, and common slop phrases ("but here's the thing", "everything changed", "marking a pivotal moment", "the transformative power", "further enhancing", "pivotal", etc), then I start to think that it's LLM slop. Wikipedia has a great page on how to spot common slop. It also mentions that one of these is not necessarily a sign of slop, but when there's a lot of these together it definitely can be.

The statement from the CEO is almost certainly LLM slop.

  • Paying not only supports the archive but also allows you to download a ton of books at full speed

  • I really like RadarOmega, and it also has a decent desktop app (even on Linux!). Although obviously GRLevelX is much more advanced.

I changed to RadarOmega after Radarscope stopped working on my GrapheneOS phone.

  • Kagi is definitely worth it.

  • Kagi, domain registration, RadarOmega (really good weather radar), Zenarmor (for my router running opnsense), SaucePlus, Tuta, Mailbox.org, SimpleFin (for self hosted budget using real time data with Actual), Backblaze B2. I think that's about it.

  • ssh aliases changed my life

  • People have been saying this for a year, and the line only keeps going up.

  • It hasn't existed that long.

  • Induction can also boil water much faster than gas ever could. And to be honest, as much hate as they get, I would even prefer non-induction electric over gas at this point.

  • I wash mine about the same, but I only buy new if they start to fall apart or no longer dry properly. Even then, they go into the scrap towel drawer and are used for dirty jobs. Eventually they'll get too dirty and I'll get rid of them.

  • I'm not sure I'm understanding your question correctly, but generally if someone is "too high" and "greens out", they will be likely to have a panic attack, show general paranoia, and symptoms like dizziness and nausea. It's not really a medical emergency, although to the user it probably will seem like one. There is no need to provide treatment other than making the user feel comfortable. Over time, they'll come down and be fine again (but maybe a bit tired from the ordeal).

I speak from experience, as someone who has greened out several times in the past.

  • The problem is that they consider international airports to be "borders" so you also have to live 200 miles away from those. It's almost impossible to find that, and even then they don't exactly follow laws to begin with.

  • I know it works with Home Assistant and doesn't work with gadgetbridge (as far as I can tell). My hope is that eventually Gadgetbridge will be able to send my health stats (through Health connect) to my HA install.

  • A person standing on the street can't stay hidden while they stalk you as easily as a few 24/7 flock cameras.
