that picture hurts. "End Bike Lane" painted on the bike lane.
i have a regular appointment once a week that i ride ~1hr to get to (& an hr home), and i have had to memorize how to ride my bike because of these.
at one point, i get to cross 4 lanes of traffic unprotected just over the cusp of a hill (goes over the freeway) to get to the other side of the street's path because that is the intended bike path over that bridge. i havent found a good alternative yet, its scary :/
i think it is wonderful that it is used by both the tinkerer and the normal user.
i am on linux because i enjoy learning and tinkering. my wife is on linux because of MSRecall - she just wants a computer. both if us have very different reasons to use it, and love it for very different reasons.
she loves that plugging anything in automatically "just works" - probably the thing she has fallen in love with the most. she doesnt have to worry if drivers only work with win95, no sketchy website downloads, etc..
i know it is still google, but i just started searching ebay for a used pixel 9 - looks like they are around $400-500 (pixel 10 came out last month). i figure getting graphene os on one of these may be an inexpensive path forward... still looking for good options, tho.
i'll have to check out fairphone. i remember something about them not being available in the US, but that may be old news.
honestly, i would prefer not to have a child rapist as president. kinda sucks that some people only care about children just enough to impact the rights of adults.
american public transit = busses dont run after 1:26pm, the last train is also the first train, there are no bike racks, and there are 4 parking spots.
Black & White vibes here.
