  • Yes Mr. Bossman, I would love to work at your company. I have aspired to be a

    <insert low-level job title here>

since I was a small child. I would do anything to help out the company. My only desire is to help the business.

  • I agree that most creators don't become wealthy, and yes, there's plenty of abuse and inequality in how IP laws are applied. But removing those laws wouldn't solve that - it would just give even more power to the entities with the most money, reach, and legal muscle.

Without IP protections, smaller inventors and musicians wouldn't even have the option to negotiate or earn anything off their work. A major label or corporation could just take it, polish it, and release it as their own without any consequences.

So while the system isn't perfect, saying it "only exists to make the rich richer" misses the point. The alternative isn't more equity, it's no recourse at all for the little guy.

  • This is a terrible take. Sure. There are issues with the system, but these laws protect smaller musicians and inventors from having their ideas stolen and profited upon by larger players.

Without patent laws, there's no reason to ever "buyout" a design from an inventor, or for smaller songwriters to ever get paid again. A large company or musician could essentially steal your work and make money off of it, and you would get nothing for all of the time and effort that you put into it.

  • On one hand, I enjoy the schadenfreude of companies getting their just reward for enabling this bullshit, but in the other, I really mourn for all of those that are going to suffer from this. Our country is actively shooting itself in the foot, and blaming it on DEI.

  • Because we all know STEM fields aren't already white-male dominated. Making it more hostile for women and minorities will reduce the amount of people that even want to get into the field, thus reducing actual talent. Studies also show that diverse groups tend to problem-solve better than homogeneous ones as they tend to consider a wider array of possibilities and avoid groupthink.

    Fuck this frail white-ego bullshit.

  • I'm like 95% sure that's the plan.

  • I had no idea. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

  • What do you mean saved it? As in just posted it on YouTube?

  • Never in a million years did I think I would be wishing that Yemen is successful in its fight against the Israeli Genocidal Government.

  • The power of propaganda and lies. Hell, look at Pam Bondi over the past couple of days. They seized 22 million fentanyl pills, and every week she adds a zero to the number of lives saved. It's worth noting that there's about 80,000 OD's a year. But her first claim was that 22 million American lives were saved. Her second claim a week later was 119 million lives. Her latest claim a couple of days ago....are you ready? 258 million Ameican lives. Yes. Trump and Co. have single-handedly saved 2/3rds of the entire US population.

MAGA exists in a world of pure fiction. They don't have the intelligence to take a step back a go, "That doesn't make any sense." Their entire worldview is whatever soundbite was the last one on the TV.

We are ruled by a nation of absolute morons... it's embarrassing.

  • They'll just make even smaller bottles. You'll be able to buy a single detergent pod for a $1.

  • It looked like you photoshopped a pizza and whatever surface it was on to your white table. Legit took me 30 seconds to realize that it was toasted parchment paper.

  • Lol no. The only person Trump is for is Trump. No one else comes close.

  • Mate, cats are not a native species. They hunt for sport and wind up absolutely destroying the local ecosystem. Outdoor cats should be killed onsight like literally any other invasive species.

"These are non-native predators that, even using conservative estimates, kill 1.3–4 billion birds and 6.3–22.3 billion mammals each year in the U.S. alone (Loss et al. 2013, Nature Communications)"

I personally care more about my local ecosystem than some cat that someone is too lazy to play with and keep entertained.

  • Can a conservative please explain to me how getting rid of every government entity that supports our citizens helps make our country better? Because it seems to me like he's making it so that we now have ZERO social safety nets and ZERO support from the government.

Anyone with a shred of empathy, should understand how this will affect disadvantaged and marginalized citizens.

  • It's a political statement. Guys are talking this way. Sure it's a caricature, but that doesn't make the statement less meaningful. Toxic masculinity is just that...it's toxic AF, and while I may not think she has the funniest comic ever, it's a good way to showcase the absurdity of our current times.

  • I love seeing these comics. You can always count on like 20 white males showing up asking how this is funny, that it's a strawman, that pizzacake is terrible, blah blah blah.

The simple thing is, they are comics that give a flavor of the times. Males ARE acting this way. Is it a caricature of a scenario, sure, but that's what a fucking comic is. Does it have to be "funny" in order to be a comic? No, there are political comics everywhere. Why does pizzacake only get this sort of ire? Is it because she's calling out white males on the absurdity of their actions, and they don't like it?

My advice? Chill TF out bros. It's a comic. If you don't like it, maybe you should talk to your buddies when they start acting like Andrew Taint's mouthpiece. Toxic masculinity is a real issue. Sorry that it takes a fucking pizzacake comic to discuss it...

  • I biased against meth, but also afraid of it as well. Doesn't mean I'm going to go out of my way to try it and assess whether it's really as bad as they say. I also won't try out any poison, random pills I find, or anything I have to inject.

Fear is a healthy thing sometimes, mate.
