  • And you can’t really get a lot of words from “I waited 8 hours for Firefox to build.”

You actually can if you describe the build process and how emerge works, how you can customize the packages with Gentoo's USE flags etc...

  • I already got functional laptops (an Alienware M15 r3 and a very recent HP Pavilion) but none of them come close to my Thinkpad T480 in terms of comfort of use, the overall build quality and the damn awesome keyboard.

Too bad that all (?) recent Thinkpads now have soldered RAM.

  • lacks an anime girl wallpaper IMO

  • Everyone should just move to the EU at this rate

  • It's probably part of some homework and he has to describe the install process? Could have picked Gentoo for a higher word count IMO

  • Thank you! I thought they were talking about the Play Services and I was like "why isn't the version numbering the same 🤨". So yeah, same for me, no issues with the Jan 2024 version.

  • I'd call the cops on them

  • Side Of Burritos made an unboxing video + GrapheneOS test of the Pixel Tablet: https://youtube.com/watch?v=jfbz1RzSJh4

This was 7 months ago so you should assume that GrapheneOS got even better now.

  • and maybe show it off in our Pixel photos thread 😁

  • Very weird way of launching it indeed, maybe Google wants to push the 128GB version first as the limited storage would push users to subscribe to their cloud offering. That or they probably have a supply issue for the storage.

  • What version is the January 2024 update? I have the 24.02.13 on GrapheneOS but I'm not sure if it's the one that the different articles are talking about.

  • divorce attorneys are going to have a field day

  • Given that mirrors have never been an issue before TikTok, maybe, just maybe, the problem is elsewhere?

  • third choice between Android and iOS

Apostrophy OS is also based on Android at its core (specifically, Android 13)

    so... basically Android?

  • I don't get people buying HP printers either. They did make really good printers 2~3 decades ago (absolutely loved my Deskjet 695C and the cartridges weren't really hard to refill), but recently their printers are nothing more than e-waste.

Today you should just get a Brother laser printer.
