  • A lot of labor news outside the US happens to be about unions, however the mod of this community made this community specifically because they did not want general labor posts in c/unions. A lot of US based labor news happens to be about non union workers because most workers are non union, so there's your explanation on why there are a lot of posts about the US. Also I am not the mod of this community, you should probably at them if you're being serious.

  • It is funny that these oligarchs blame everything, but capitalism for falling birth rates, I'm sure a lot of people would have kids or more kids in the developed world, if they had work life balance and a big enough home to have a family in and childcare & college that didn't cost 5 or 6 figures per kid in burgerlandia.   • I think it could happen, but it would have to be a foss app and a paid service or funded by ads, because you need paid people to moderate services like that, moderation on lemmy is about civility and people being mean to eachother, but moderation on a dating app might involve dealing with sexual assault and other illegal things in a much more prominent way. Or it would have to be funded by a government or charity which is not very likely in the present.
