  • Totally! I was fascinated by their statement that no one in Hungary wanted to not be dominated by a blood-thirsty, genocidal regime that collaborated with the Nazis to split up Europe.

    I mean look how well things worked out for Hungary under Soviet dominance! Excellent quality of life for the next 40 years!

    The GIA even forced hundreds of thousands of Hungarians out of their homes and into Austria (and to a lesser extent Yugoslavia) to give legimacy to their "coup" that was definitely not a mass movement for self-determination!

  • I've lived in 5 countries across 3 continents, so I do have some perspective on this.

    The first point is finding out local immigration laws, even if you don't need a tourist visa, you will need legal authorization to stay in a country on a more permanent basis.

    Which brings me to my second point, you need local employment to get authorization for permanent stay (or proof of above average independent income).

    Another option is to go study in a country. This is expensive and you will need to win scholarships if you don't have a lot of money. Countries always try to make money on foreign students.

    Another option is to teach English, but this is likely harder than it used to be (15 years ago or so). Although it is worth exploring this opportunity, unlikely to work for EU though.

    Do you have any relatives in other countries? Close friends?

    I will speculate it's going to be difficult to move to Netherlands if you don't have family or a skillset that is in high demand.

    I would explore developing countries where you can likely get a good job (by local standards, so $1,000 to $2,500) if you have a degree and some solid work experience.

  • Haven't watched this particular YT, but from other video and text reviews that I have watched/read, it's basically a relatively generic vampire themed action-adventure. It's not an RPG in the least, some of the RPG-lite elements look comically dumb.

    It was a (relatively) new genre in the late 90s and it works well for energetic scenes and gameplay.

    GTA2's Funami FM had some drum and bass influenced tracks. The GTA2 intro movie used drum and bass in a way that's very reminiscent of the time period:

    GTA3's MSX FM had some top notch drum and bass tracks from the legendary (by electronic music standards) Moving Shadow record label.

    System Shock 2 also had great drum and bass music.

    Eric Brosius - Engineering

    I wish this trend of using drum and bass tracks would become popular again, it's a such good fit for intense/energetic scenes and gameplay.

    It's also great for that cold and clinical, yet psychedelic sc-fi ambience (like the Engineering track from SS2).

    It very much has that mid 90s attitude and unique to DOS too. From what I remember, consoles didn't really have these sort of games.

    The artwork is top notch and stands the test of time.

  • I don't know about that. If Valve made Left 4 Dead 3 with some minor iterative improvements (better graphics, same gameplay, maybe a new mode) and no trash monetisation (B2P like the first two games), I think it would be very successful.
