I'm a dude in Oregon. I regularly make bad life decisions and do not make a habit of learning from my mistakes.

  • This is fascist/communist dictatorship architecture. There was a Professor in our Honors College that would go on a fucking tirade about it whenever he saw it. It wasn't even a lecture. I was working with him in his office and he just went off for 15 minutes about the Humanities building on campus.

  • Neurology tells us that we make decisions before we're consciously aware that we made them.

    I felt that specifically on an anti-seizure drug that I used to stop familial tremors. Almost as if someone was walking in my body and doing everything 5 seconds before I knew what was happening. It's not abnormal, but it can feel remarkably disconcerting to believe you no longer have agency of your own body. Sorry for that, homeslice, but don't be too concerned.

If the matter is forfeiting our wealth for free, yeah, it's going to give up our economic security... but it's not going to make us better off. There's something wrong with every current government, right? But we have to agree that some are better than others.

    Much like capitalism, competition is important between systems of government until we get it right. Capitalism obviously isn't the right system, but China abuses the shit out of ethnic minorities as well (Uyghurs in the news most recently).
