  • That's the thing-- they're fighting him tooth and nail. I hope he succeeds but we know this party is happy to subvert democratic processes whenever inconvenient to the leadership

  • How do you plan to succeed with the DNC???

  • I think this is also great speculation and absolutely spot on in both your "Russian roulette" point and making other about money. Maybe Bibi threatened to block Trump from wetting his beak in Gaza so he "picked up his ball and stomped home"

Related: I do wonder why liberals are losing their shit over the Qatari jet. They're claiming that it convinced him to sit down with Hamas. Talking with Hamas is a good thing, IMO

  • Old fascists meet new fascists

  • Since November, I've been cautiously hopeful that Trump might improve the situation in Gaza. I'm no Trump fan, but I think sitting down with Hamas is a step in the right direction...

Prior to the election, Trump had previously made veiled statements basically saying Israel/Netanyahu was the problem, not Palestinians or Hamas. Given Trump's personality, I'm sure he doesn't like getting bossed around by Bibi. Then again... They probably have Epstein Island in Trump's intelligence dossier

  • Ya love to see it!

  • Exactly this. They're not a political party they are a corporate entity whose job is sitting in chairs to block actual political parties from having a chance

  • They're Congress. They can "roll back" laws because their job is making laws. Why do they need "obscure" laws to do this?

  • This is all by design. They no interest in winning

  • Yes exactly

  • Roger Moore sandwiches kick ass, especially dipped in vinegar

  • Yeah but legally Congress allocates funds. This isn't binding (yeah yeah I know, none of these people care about the law)

  • No nation-state in my lifetime has taken the real and necessary steps to mitigate/slow it.

Tankies will crow about China, but the truth is that China adopted the happy motoring lifestyle after relying on bicycles for decades.

Unless you drastically reduce cars and airplanes and cargo ships, nothing will change. Unless we pretty much stop eating beef, nothing will change.

If you actually priced environmental damage into the cost of oil, literally no business would be profitable. Instead we even subsidize it. The result is the world we have now.

We will suck every drop of oil from the ground even as we are choking on the CO2

  • We're never going to stop or even mitigate climate change...

  • Journalists do care (most...). It's not a job for dispassionate people.

It's publishers and managing editors who are the problem. They represent the institutions. They decide what goes to print

  • That's just some Zionist's YouTube channel... He's begging us to care about property damage on October 7. As though that somehow justifies killing thousands of Gazan children

Never forget that's what this is about-- Israel eagerly kills Gazan children and the US lets them do it. Anything else is willful distraction.

There is no moral highground for Israel and there's no "OK, but..."

Israel kills children at its leisure and the US says it's OK.

  • I finally understand why boomers love Trump so much. It's because his messages are crafted to look and read exactly the way my crazy uncle types on Facebook comments

  • Shit winds are coming, Bo-Bonald

  • Exactly this
