  • I mean, the graphics were pretty impressive and the beginning premise was interesting, but after 3hrs I just kinda got more bored as the plot isn't cohesive at all and figuring out where you need to go is actually rather annoying after a bit. I played a bit more than 3hrs because surely it would get better, but it didn't seem to be so I gave up.

  • Finished up "my friend Pedro" a couple of weeks ago (absolutely recommend if you haven't played it, especially with a high refresh rate screen), played control for a bit (interesting beginning, but the more you play the more confusing/boring I found it), and been revisiting doom eternal since I just upgraded my PC about a month ago. I was planning to play it through with the dlc expansions, then maybe try cyberpunk after. Also been intermittently playing "golf with your friends" when I have game night, pretty fun to play with friends and doesn't take too much effort.

  • Not entirely sure, but if you are on ATT prepaid there is a bs list of phones that are supported, and while I've heard of ways of bypassing it they can revoke your phone randomly. I'm pretty sure it applies to most ATT stuff, but I suspect the main idea is that priority traffic is gatekeeped.

  • That being said, ATT has a whitelist for phones on its network, so that should be noted.

  • While I don't like 11 (have to use it daily for work), my biggest gripe is it's even harder to fix than the last couple of releases of windows before it. In XP and 7, you just adjusted settings in the control panel, and if it was a niche setting, it was in the control panel, probably a few layers deep. In 10, you had the settings app, which was fine for basic stuff, but if you went beyond the basics you were going to control panel (and yes, it coexists with a settings app). Now in 11, the settings app was expanded, but there still exists a bunch of stuff in the control panel, but it's often not obvious where you would do something.

  • Assuming it's free and you weren't planning to update to the newest stuff, yeah it's a nice upgrade. Next up is a gpu upgrade...

  • Nazis are gonna Nazi, watching what you say doesn't really stop them from being offended over non offensive shit.

  • Not completely. I do remember when they tried to make x86 processors for phones, and I also remember how they very much failed to gain a foothold in part because android was more based around arm, but also because the power efficiency wasn't really as good as existing arm chips in phones. However, it is a pretty good testing point given that mobile devices like phones have to have the most efficient chips in order to have a decent battery life, and yet the interest in them more or less dried up years ago. And before you point at laptops or tablets, most of that advantage is mostly that windows on arm sucks both from efficiency and compatibility perspectives, so x86 is the only real option.

  • Oh, so what phones use an x86 processor then?

  • I want my baby back, baby back, baby back...

  • After running arch for a long time, I just installed the sway community edition of endeavoros on all my machines. It works well, while allowing me to use tiling without having a ton of configuration time.

  • But will it have the din slot to add it?

  • Huh. When I saw this first, my initial instinct was that bmw has a roof rack on their motorcycle, which would be kinda cool. Still would wear protection on it though, no roll bars stopping you from falling out the side in a crash.

  • They're not really that great compared to AMD for the most part. Plus rumor is that AMDs next gen is a lot further ahead of Intel. Then again, it depends on how good of a deal you get on them and if power efficiency is a priority (I've heard that Intel still is pretty decent in that regard). That being said don't get any of their 13th or 14th gen CPUs, that's part of what has led to their current state of affairs.

  • This mostly reads like it was written by a tankie. A lot of valid points about china's renewable prowess, but a handwaving about their authoritarian stances.

  • Don't forget, it's also sped up.

  • What are we supposed to never forget? That 5g causes stuff?
