  • What’s your most controversial opinion?

  • IDK how controversial this one is, but I'd say Batman Beyond is a near perfect "I am the new Batman" type sequel series. Rather than having a series where it's all future versions of the villains facing off against future Batman, they either made new villains or reinvented one you never really saw anywhere besides a few old comics.

    From what I've seen/heard of the non tie-in comics, they aren't as good, IMO, for the introduction of characters such as a future Catwoman and a few minor changes to some original characters, like turning that one Joker gang member into some sort of hybrid Joker and Two Face.

    Very similar reasons as to why I think Loonatics s1 is vastly superior to season 2. Hand me original villains for a series over rehashed versions of old villains.

  • Occasionally I will use a blank CD or DVD to burn something like a game I obtained through less than ideal means. Otherwise, I tend to use them less than I should. But that would require me to find more uses for them.

    I got a whole stack of blank DVDs a couple years ago because the student government at the college I attend was just getting rid of them. Probably was gonna throw them away if nobody picked them up, so I did. Also got some clear, see through sleeves as well.

    This post also made me remember that an art student used a bunch of discs and a teddy bear in a 3D art piece that gets a negative reaction from me. Every time I pass by it in the library, I hate it, but admit it's great art considering it gets such a strong emotion out of me.

  • Have no clue where the "FuzzLord" part comes from. Don't remember, but I assume the Lord part comes from my high self worth ( probably a little too high self worth ).

    Though I can easily tell you where the "Ace" comes from. Used to use it every time a game needed a 3 letter initial or whatever for high scores or just in general. It also works out real well now because of my fascination with safe gambling and randomness.

  • If I had the money, I would at the very least try Kagi, but for now I'm just surfing with DuckDuckGo using their "noai(dot)duckduckgo(dot)com" link. Auto turns off their dumb "duck ai" nonsense and using their filters to try and hide genAI images.

    I also looked it up because I was curious and if the source is correct, I learned that the "noai" part of that link is a subdomain.

  • What's missing?

  • Laptop? Whenever I ain't using it.

    Steam Deck? Same.

    I don't want the battery on either to go to hell in a hand basket.

    Desktop? I usually keep it in sleep and every once in a while turn it offnto give it a full rest. Sleep manages to keep it cool enough and uses minimal power, so I don't have as huge if a problem with that.

    Probably should turn it off more often, though.

  • What old person thing do you do now that you wouldn't have guessed you'd do when you were younger?

  • I the last few times I have bought clothes from a thrift store, I was ecstatic because on 2 occasions I was able to find a Kirkland brand polo shirt and Kirkland pants. I was especially excited because the pants had a 50% off tag.

    I have a high regard to that brand because I associate it with quality.

  • How would you feel if someone moved next to your residence and you found out they're a cop? Would you move away? Or try to get on their good side? Or something else?

  • Closest I came was living like 2 houses away from an undercover cop who was helping deal with a drug lab house in the middle if our block. Never saw them much, nor was I opinionated on cops since I was in maybe 3rd grade when this was happening. So nothing too big. The drug house was taken care of and nobody else on the block were harmed, but kinda fucked since it was a block full of kids at the time.

    Nowadays, in that situation, I would do my best to avoid the cops and drug house as much as possible and not get onto either of their radars. Not 100% sure I would feel safe, despite the fact that the bus route I take always has me waiting by a cop building while having had zero incidents over the few years I've been taking the route.

  • Which game have you been most patient for?

  • I'm waiting until I finish Sonic & The Seven Rings before moving onto Sonic &.The Black Knight. I am very slowly going through the game I never beat growing up and at this rate I'll probably get around to finishing it near when the heat death of the universe occurs.

    Looking forward to Black Knight since it was a game I wanted but never got. I just hope I can get an official wiimote by then because Seven Rings controls poorly on the 3rd party one I currently have.

  • This! There are probably gonna be times where you need to drive to get someone somewhere in a hurry. Cannot speak for everywhere, but in my part of the world the police won't care if you are speeding to get someone to hospital, you'll still get a ticket, minimum, without license.

  • Depends on the circles you live near. I've never heard any problems in my area, but some places will take something as harmless as a furry con may be and try to convince one of the organizations partnering with the con to pull out, despite getting hefty donations.

    Cannot remember the exact con or organization, but happened at least once in the past couple years in, I wanna say, either Ireland or Britain. Relatively innocent enough 18+ only convention had people trying to pull the "won't somebody please think of the children" card, IIRC, and had concerns about the dead horse stereotype of furries being zoophiles ( untrue* and zoophiles are outed from the fandom real quick if you're revealed to actually be one ).

    *as with all fandoms, there are degenerates that go undetected

  • Pretty sure the nose on mine might not withstand repeated boops, but depends on what they're made out of. Someone already pointed out something to the extent of how there is more choice in what material is used to make the suit. So, kinda depends on material used.

    I'm pretty sure I've seen in the past at least a few suits on the more expensive side using actual hard, boop resistant, materials for the nose. Couldn't tell you the material since I'm not an expert.

    Edit: more about 3D printed suit bases instead of just more materials. Whoops.

  • Any time I use the internet, regardless of what connection, I basically always keep it on. I may swap servers in some most likely ineffective way of keeping myself safer from tracking, but otherwise it normally stays on. Only other exception is when flarpak isn't allowing updates to come through.
