I like to ask a variety of questions, sometimes silly, serious, and/or strange. Never asking in an attempt to pester or “just asking questions” stuff.

Will I migrate from Lemm.ee to elsewhere? I don't know yet. If I do, you'll see here. If not, never stop questioning everything!

  • The move — the latest escalation of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s pressure campaign on cities to help solve the housing crisis — means Norwalk could lose eligibility for state housing and homelessness grants, and be forced to approve affordable housing projects even if they conflict with city zoning.

I'm confused, how would they fund the housing projects they may be compelled to approve without the grants, given that some of the contention in all of this is an insufficient provision of resources?

  • What are they?

  • What about ON? Symbiotic/commensalist relationship of letting the beetle rest around your eyes for illusion of wondrous eyelashes?

  • Are the chokers somewhat adjustable to fit different size necks? Do you have any dislike or fear of giraffes? If yes and no, you might look into getting some giraffe dolls that are firm enough to basically wear and display the chokers and ease your selection.

You could even slightly decorate the giraffes to help in sorting them, supposing the wearing of chokers wasn't enough for your tastes.

  • What's a spoonerism?

  • Have you been following your heart? If not the most, the moist may at least be there.

  • Aside from personally posting more regularly there, any advice or ideas for getting !likethismaylike@lemm.ee going? Had a few people early on posting and even some people beside myself replying to them, but it rapidly trailed off from there and felt a little too much like I was only using it for myself.

Started to make other types of post to help show it's as much for sharing as asking, but while the posts had some passive positive attention, it didn't net much more activity.

  • Appreciate the example! It's when handling a DHCP range and the related CIDR notation that I tend to get especially muddled in this area. It certainly doesn't help that each router's interface and terminology tends to vary just enough to add uncertainty.

Regardless, the comments here and more focus on this have helped clear some of this up for me.

  • Thanks for some detail! What you describe reassures me in my decision not to get further into it, particularly as a professor path seemed one of few traditional options with what I studied.

  • Are doctorate/grad school programs distinctly competitive? My impression was that they were more challenging but similar in nature to undergrad insofar as loads of coursework to stay on top of to complete courses and ensure you got some of the most expensive, "You endured it!" paperwork in the world.

  • ...How are they able to continue providing these but not maintain the Bridge Access Program for the uninsured? 🤨

  • Is there an AcademicDictionary in the vein of Urban Dictionary for all the jargon and filler patterns?

  • Dr. Jill Stein has improved the Green Party; y’all just believe anything the duopoly and owner-class media spit out when it agrees with your thinking.

In what ways, alongside the one point mentioned, and according to what sources (presumably not from the party itself)?

  • Covert? Isn't India one of few countries consistently and unabashedly trading with Russia? Is this covert in the open secrets sense?

  • I think separating them improves the user experience for regular users, which I think counts as a real advantage. As I wrote in the body text:

As-is seeing an indication of a comment for a post only for it to turn out to be a bot is slightly disappointing at best, and mildly confusing at worst when their display has been disabled.

It's a small detail, but small details add up when it comes to the user experience.

  • By automated reporting do you mean something like filters on the backend to flag offensive posts per some custom settings?

  • For anyone else perusing this thread, don't sleep on this one! It's a solid recommendation. I'd watched it prior to seeing this comment, and its art style is slick as hell with an interesting story to boot.

  • This was harder to answer than I thought, pushing up to 20 eliminates a lot of contenders I think.

Maybe so, though that's why I tried to relax it with 18 and older as well as mostly vs only adults. If there's some younger characters I don't mind, but I thought I'd ask about anime with a primary cast of older characters for a little change of pace.

    Appreciate the suggestion!
