I was this guy when i lived in hungary but the funny part was that it was actually like 10c and spring(even tho historically it used to go below minus 10 there during winter). Now that i live in sweden i realize people are also like that here but thankfully the large amount of finns who live here spice it up. Im not even kidding when it was my first winter here and a guy showed up in shorts in -20c while i had two hoodies and a winter jacket on and was still freezing. Always the finns.

I agree that ethnostates are required today because its the only way to protect a group of people. Ideally ethnostates wouldnt have to be a thing. With how things are now, i think israel should also exist, its absolutely stupid to propose it be removed cause then you have the problem of a bunch of jews having nowhere to go again, and also a lot of the people there have never known a different home than israel. On the other hand they should be sanctioned and stopped from commiting constant warcrimes and palestinians live their lives in their rightful territory. The russia situation is a bit different. Theres no real reason for its existance. Its a bunch of russians opressing minorities, they should have their own country if were following the ethnostate idea. At very least european and asian russia should be seperate countries. But yeah thats never happening.
Id say biden is center and bernie is left. Bidens policies were often more left than obamas. But its also hard to but them on the same scale that was made for european politics. Biden actually had a few policies which msde trans peoples lifes better while on other fronts supporting policies that would be pretty far right in europe. Europe is generally more economic left while the us is maybe more left socially but idk its quite complicated. Also mamdani isnt on this but same with him. Id say hes center left. I just interpreted as a meme criticising how people automatically side with the "good side" whether it is actually good or just a puppet state that has to win. Ukraine is actually the good side and accidentally the west supports it. Palestine is actually the good side but they got unlucky and the west supports israel. If anyone is sane, ukraine and palestine both deserve peace because an agressor attacked them and theyre just defending themselves but in the west the narrative kind of conflicts itself cause they support ukraine and israel.
Yeah i get that, but also it has some huuuge problems. A very large part of arch users rely on the aur which is horrible from a security standpoint and in general for usability. If arch made its package distribution better it would be a really solid distro with a lot of merits. Of course if you get arround the package management woes its a good system to use. As for nix you dont actually re-build your system every time you change something cause you also do that technically when you boot, tho not in the sense of building software from source, it just links everything so its accessible.
Yeah thats kinda my problem with arch.... ive never found it easy to use or useful. Every actual usecase other than it being "cool" is filled by distros much more adapted. Actually want a system from scratch? Gentoo. Want to make it deployable and dependable? Nixos. Want something rock stable? Debian. Arch never had any appeal for me(focus on me here).
Okay hear me out, this ones gonna be a doozy: trains. I know radical right. If there was no need to drive cars wouldnt pollute. I could still go fuck off to tracks and few rural roads to drive on the weekend, there would be no pollution and the travel times would be better and easier. Thats the thing, i love driving but commuting is horribly boring. Theres probably like a few percent of people who will actually go out to the track and race and ive said this is another comment like a year ago but those people can use biofuels or carbon capture fuel. Yes its tripple the price but youre not using it to get to work but just for weekend fun. I think this is the best ballance. Also you would still have electric cars because theyre fun(tho even i have to admit i would almost always pick a hybrid or gas over one) and for the people in rural norway and sweden to get to their houses for example.
