I mean, that was the entire premise of the show, a good person who breaks bad. You are supposed to like him, and supposed to have complicated feelings about his character arc as he devolves deeper and deeper into the dark side. Of course there will be moments during the arc when you still root for him as the badass but that should all be gone by the end, when he’s just a bad guy who got a deserved end.
Thats what LMDE is for, Linux Mint Debian Edition. Been my daily driver for years. Otherwise I use vanilla Debian for all my server and headless stuff.
They arrived when arcade machines started charging more than one quarter per play. They are there to make it easier to spend money, I mean once you bought them, why not spend them all?
100%. I try to use open source wherever possible. If it does have to be closed/proprietary, I will only use software I can own, no subscriptions; and the only if I can get them working in Linux (wine has come SO far).
That said, I do still have a windows partition but only for job related stuff.
I have run teams, and I’m an adult leader in my kids troop, so I’m hoping to get into IT leadership, also been an architect, but I just can’t get much response to my resumes for leadership without any education on there. I’ve been shut out several times during to lack of degree, so hoping it might open a door or two. I don’t think I can get away from IT yet, but maybe can change my role in it.
So far I’m fairly impressed with it. I’ll stick to Debian and LMDE for my purposes, but the family computer got a new life just in time for the RAM and SSD garbage.
I’m in that boat. Joined the IT world before the first .com crash, dropped out of school for it and never got a degree. I’m very stuck right now and I hate the career I’m stuck in. Trying to find a way to go back to get a degree, maybe open a door or two…
I still think this has been the plan all along, and the only reason they haven’t is that they are waiting until he’s finished 2 years so the couchfucker can steal 2 more full terms.
Worst part is, whenever you try to do anything about it or even talk to someone about the fact that there’s a problem, you are told you are the crazy one, and that we just need to give it a little time.
