I also really like gparted, originally with the dual boot I had to manually partition the drive for the os and the boot paritition, took a couple minutes to figure our and its very convenient to be able to mess with your ssd easily just by plugging in a usb and booting into the live os from there. Idk if any other installers do that, if anyone knows please let me know, like the usb boots into kde plasma and you can kind of test out the ui while clicking through the gui installer.
Used cachyos for the last couple months, its a graphical installer, automatic everything, and when it loads you get a startup menu that you can click install gaming packages on to get anything youd download for gaming, its supposdely the only distro actually optimized for gaming and detects your hardware automatically to grab everything.
Off the install and one click installing those packages everything on my steam account (after checking proton compatibility cachyos setting) worked fine for me. Blender also works well, but in that case I needed to grab a driver for amd.
Bazzite made me nervous, I like being able to clixk through the install seeing what im doing. I reinstalled windows right before and did dualboot first, before removing windows and sticking with just cachyos. Cachyos was about 10x easier to install than windows and 1000000x faster, like it straight up took 2 minutes maybe while windows takes 2 hours, I was shocked that it was actually done.
I like the idea of the app, functions like inbetween reddit and discord, definitely a good idea that should be cloned and could benefit from federation like reddit, discord, twitter, etc.
I got perfect scores in english and grammar throughout highschool, passed the ap test, perfect scores on english portions of sap/act, passed the ap test, therefore didn't do any english/writing courses in college. (Gotten out of practice, when it comes to the correct way to type) I technically learned english 2nd and didn'tunderstand it in kindergarden so my internal logic has always been that I've proven myself and I don't need to spell or use grammar correctly anymore.
I've already proven objectively that I have a firm grasp on the english language, so now I just let the errors fly. The logic is terrible, but i'll go with whatever justifies my actions lol. People used to make fun of how I speakx so Id show them my grades and ask them if they are sure that they are the one speaking English correctly.
Also theres fr no reason to police spelling/grammar if the points gets across, being concise and clear is more important always.
womans only spaces (popping up because of male dominated spaces) do lead to male only spaces but who cares, ppl that want to be in those spaces can stay there idrc, they dont want my input I dont want theirs
It has plenty of nodes locked behind a paywall like magic mask, they also recentlly locked reactor, the community made plugins, behind a paywall (I still think its worth it, especially if you buy hardware for editing, the studio license comes with it)
Funny how the added classes are the exact playstyle I wanted the first time around, kept that dude who can revive the dead as fungus zombies as long as possible, also wanted a spellsword
Sounds a lot like adhd, from hyperfocus on new interest to burnout to new interest to burnout this is life I like it idc, I have so many hobbies/interests and more to come
maybe they tried the fediverse when it was bad or didn't have apps, I think before lemmy my experience was mastodon many years ago and I was confused because I thought it was supposed to be like discord the way ppl talked about instances not twitter, and even when I joined I didnt realize they interconnected til I joined lemmy years later lol, thought it was so weird having mini worse twitter that doesnt connect.
And in lemmy's case I weirdly associated it with voat and lag, then I joined and was suprised at the left leaning (significantly lol) userbase that actually provided helpful suggestions instead of telling me to google and actually getting replies for most posts/comments instead of them being lost in to the void.
(reactor used to be free and would extend it a lot only works on studio now) btw I pirated it, its very easy to do on linux just one reddit post where you copy and paste 3 commands into the terminal after downloading the official studio version from their site, eventually I might buy some hardware from them for around 300 since you get free studio with it.
Davinic is paid but its a one time fee and pretty solid on linux, no issues transitioning for the modst part, some reactor plugins are incompatible like shaderotoys
Now translation and subs are wildly different things, ai is great at subs, not at translation, im going off the post
