Should longer hair be handled by salons or male barbers?

Decided to start growing my hair out. previously did the 'im a dude, shave it' haircut all the time.

Would one be best to change from the usual man's barbershop to a salon, or a place that would focus more on women's hair? I really don't want anyone to screw around with it this time around or cut it short.
