Since I've been photographing owls, I've never experienced this before! When I came upon this Eastern Screech-Owl, it was actively hunting in the middle of the day-something these owls don't typically do. This little guy had a mouse in its sights, and shortly after locking in, it burst out of the cavity. Sure enough, it caught the mouse!
