True, but the V day parade was awesome. With or without Putin, Russia is going to outlast the west. It will be for a lot of material reasons, but it will also be because antifascism was cultivated for decades as a core element of their national identity, and that idea spoke to people so strongly that capitalist restoration could never overcome it. The west will give antifacism a nod, but it is not encouraged as something the working class should take seriously.
