Social media posts assailing immigrants have fomented a climate of fear and hatred in Britain, Portugal and other countries. The vitriolic language is now spilling onto the streets.

Fuck 'em, but those social media posts didn’t come out of a vacuum. Political and media leaders that have been looking for votes and clicks and doing lazy “migrant scary!” rhetoric and stories deserve a lot of blame for creating the environment where things like this mass violence can happen.

Just look at the riots in the UK, internet words can clearly lead to real-world violence

      It’s known as stochastic terrorism.

a.k.a. “Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?” and/or “abortion doctors are murderers and something should be done!”

Yea, if you want to spread hate online you have to stick to one of the designated targets. smh

Nah fuck those [insert privileged group here]. They’re the cause of everything wrong, so I can waste my life with a clear conscience knowing that it’s their evil, and not my own decisions, that are the cause of all my suffering.

Literally just a blank place holder my dude. Posting to highlight how hatred is very much acceptable, and people just delude themselves into believing they don’t hate because their targets are socially acceptable. Real change would require actual introspection rather than agreeing with whatever your echo chamber says today.

Literally wasn’t talking about anyone specific. Are you suggesting that you have identified a group which you believe it is acceptable to hate?

I think I’ve identified a group you believe it is acceptable to hate. Hence all the anti-trans deleted comments.
