…someone is compiling the garbage right wingers regurgitate on the internet in a book?

Is this going to read like a more politically correct Turner diaries?

This is going to just be utterly pathetic picard

If the criterion of judgement is set by the Occident, whether determined through its once dominant faith or its once dominant people, the case against such modernity is perhaps unanswerable.

Prose this tortured has to be either Nick Land or Curtis Yarvin.

    Yep–Land!

      Xenosystem
Some entity named The Occident that appears to be a collective consciousness and responsible for imposing a strange and alien system called Modernity

IDK guys maybe this is just a SCP-adjacent SciFi collaborative fiction project.

You know it’s going to be a great book when the opening paragraph is just chock full of jargon that seems to be getting used in a very specific way and the author doesn’t bother to actually give a definition of any of the terms they are using. Especially when they seem to be using said jargon solely because they are big words and therefore it is a very smart and intelligent person who wrote this.

Immediately stuck out to me, too. He’s using “modern” to mean multiple things interchangeably: ‘modern’ as in technological progress, modernism as a philosophy (Marxism is modernist lol), and some other thing IDK WTF an “ultra-modernist” is. Maybe a thing that comes after modernism? Like say…a post-modernist? But obviously that’s Judeo-Bolshe…I mean “cultural neo-Marxism,” so we can’t have that.

      STEMlords were a mistake.

It’s not like anyone is going to read it, they’re just going to put it on their bookshelves to virtue signal.

God I’m having a perverse, stick a fork in a light socket to see what happens desire to see what mental gymnastics were required to argue that “modernity” was caused by the number zero existing. Is it a tortured analogy of zero representing what the secret cabal thinks of the traditional man? Is this all some argument for how liberal elites are suppressing this individual’s crypto-math that considers zero non-existent? So many possibilities, all of them so horrible and convoluted.

What had to happen to the West for it to become modern?

idk, they just kinda had to will modernity into existence with their epic Western morals and values and Great Man thinking to reach the point where they are now. Or perhaps they’ve had no choice but to invade more than half the planet, steal land and resources from said land, install colonies and/or client states to facilitate the theft, etc… Or perhaps the anchoring of “modernity” to “Western” somehow may be, possibly, by some chance, could be deeply rooted in racism in which case not much else had to happen…

    I don’t know chief, tough question really…

i’m sure this is just my brain going neuron-activation at the word “occident” but this reads like a disco elysium thought

“he invented zero, and nothing was never the same again”
