Smaller vehicles that do not need to meet the same safety requirements as existing cars could be Europe’s answer to maintaining its automotive industry.

I would really love a tiny, ultra-light electric car that can go at highway speeds. Unfortunately, when you want a tiny car, usually the choice is limited to vehicles for teens, people who lost their licenses or the elderly that are so limited in speed they end up creating long lines of pissed-off motorists behind them.
There is this thing out of Finland that I had my eyes on:
But… The paperwork to register one, and the distance to go test-drive it… I kind of gave up on it. It’s tempting though.
