I picked up some cheap rims but the part that rests in the dropouts is too wide, I haven’t measured it but it looks like it would be possible to use percussive coersion. How dangerous would it be to do that or shave it down just a bit? The fork is aluminum.

    Not a professional, but I would not fuck around with aluminum. There might be a safe way to convert it, but I’d say probably just get a hub that fits: If things fail, dental work and/or a hospital visit is not cheap.

    Steel you can get away with a bit of flex. Aluminium tubes will weaken if you bend them, do not do it.

    Front dropout though it’s usually always the same so definitely post some pictures and measurements!
