It will never not amaze me that Google just has company forums where people just discuss the news. That just seems like the company farming probable cause to fire you.

“Have you seen Sergey Brin’s latest comments in Google forum?”

‘I sure have! And let me say, I’m really glad he’s working so hard on A.I. .’

“Really? The comments seem awfully problematic, why are you glad he’s working on artificial intelligence?”

‘Cuz he clearly doesn’t have any of the authentic kind!’

Multiple Holocaust survivors have described israel’s actions in Gaza as a genocide, such as Aryeh Neier (founder of Human Rights Watch, one of the largest international human rights orgs which has also formally declared Gaza to be a genocide), Gabor Maté, and Stephen Kapos.

Zionists probably still write them off as self-hating jews.

    EDIT: spelling

Was thinking about this the other day. Even if capitalism was real and good, as consumers shouldn’t we be mad that a search engine can make enough money to alter geopolitical events of the world? The ceo of spotify was donating to pro Israel orgs, all consumers want to do is stream some music but not they have to think “will this stream fund bombs”

  • DuckDuckGo is awesome. It lets you turn off AI responses (but IMO they’re actually a lot less bullshit than Google’s) and you can add !g to search google instead if you need to. I also use !w for wikipedia and !gh for GitHub!

They’re really trying to make a true replacement for Google on all fronts. Give it a try!!!

Reminder that DuckDuckGo is far from perfect. They censor and derank or hide Russian news sources since the SMO started as “disinformation” and have admitted as much. They likely censor and derank other anti-empire outlets and sources as well without admitting it. I actually think they may be worse than Google in this particular regard as they did it as a libbed up “ethics” stand as part of the whole Russia-gate nonsense.

Not to say continue using Google but I’d be wary of using DDG for anything anti-empire or politically contentious.
