Working at home, sitting in my office chair. Emma comes in, gives me a quick tail rub around the legs, I reach down and pet her once, and she walks out.

She does this a few times a day. I’m not sure if she’s reassuring me, or herself. I guess it doesn’t really matter. ❤️

    You’re very lucky!

    I usually get a disapproving look and some trash talk once or twice a day.

      That’s her sister Lizzie. When she vocalizes, it’s always an exclamation.

      “There’s a strange cat outside!”

      “I hate the vacuum cleaner, could you not?!”

      I read that when a cat squints at you, it actually means they trust you, i.e. they don’t have to stay alert around you.
