    Yes these companies are losing money, but they have to pay money to the state also when they are not making money. I agree the angle of buying stuff from Russia equals supporting them is bs, but the Russian state does receive money from eu (for which eu gets gas and oil in return) that they can spend on waging war on Ukraine.

      That is true, but you can’t just cut off a major part of your infrastructure without causing dammage.
      So it’s idiotic to claim that EU should just have cut off everything from Russia day one.
      It’s being cut off as fast as we can. But unfortunately a few countries like Hungary and Slovakia aren’t interested in doing it. And for instance Italy hasn’t done much either.
      But despite that there is wide agreement in EU that we must do this, and the countries that don’t will face consequences.
