    Imagine if we end up a place, where this tarrif shitshow actually ends up with EU and the world being independent from big tech corps on Maps, Office (Word, Excel), Windows etc.

    Sometimes all we need is a wake up call.

      Gonna require some more wise investments in open source and free software. Which require awareness from decision makers.

    This is great news!

    Let me rewrite a part:

    Why is this important? Because intelligence agencies (in Europe) allegedly don’t want to depend on Google (most likely NSA controlled) and might be using the data from OSM and they want to make sure it is good.

      Geez I’d be pretty shocked if an Intel agency in Europe depended on a third party for their maps

        I wouldn’t. Those kinds of maps are very powerful, they provide accurate and constantly updated information from millions of users.
