look at how our representatives are acting. zero shits given. no organizing on their part etc. I went to the protests the other week, it was the standard group of people who show up at every protest, the old women from the suffrage movement and LGBT+ align individuals. very small groups.
its unfortunate it but here we are. I’m just going to continue doing my shit trying to get my old antifa group back up and running, but it’ll take a bit since we literally have to connect without digital comms initially and re-establish everything we shut down. But our little groups are not going to be sufficient for this, so most activity will be muted until the populace gets active.

The justice department can legally, by right of constitution start arresting people… but won’t, because that office too is filled with republicans.

You speak a lot of truth. If it wasn’t my family on the line I would say I am curious how this will all turn out. Unfortunately, I have too much to lose to be that detached.
As a child in elementary school, I recall the teacher describing balance of power and thinking it seemed like the president had too much power. I later learned some of the intricacies of the system, but am no expert and still recall not grasping how the checks and balances would actually play out if a nefarious individual were to infiltrate the system.
At this point, I’m thinking either my naive younger self was right, or these people that made it to power didn’t understand any better than my elementary knowledge and genuinely believe they have this power.
Or they know what they’re doing and it’s a blatant attack in the USA.
In any of these situations, there’s no clean way out when nearly half the population actually supports it.
