He killed a guy, he can spend life in prison. Even if you agree with it, seems like a fair trade to me. Let the judge and jury make the exceptions, it’s not up to the mob.

Idk why all of you idolize him so much while showing actual animosity to politicians who have an actual positive impact on all of our lives. You shouldn’t want to be like Luigi, you should want to be like Bernie Sanders and AOC. Hell, even Biden.

The only person on your list anyone should listen to is Bernie, and the dems shoved him in the background in favor of Clinton, whom no one even likes or respects. Biden is also a senile, ancient ruling class ghoul that’s been spearheading a genocide for years, within a party that has abandoned its constituents, including the trans community.

We consider him a folk hero because we’ve spent years of our lives voting and screaming into the void to a political party that is the equivalent of an unsalted saltine cracker, and does nothing but let the fascists run wild so they can maintain their status quo (It’s also the party that just rejected AOC in favor of an old man dying from cancer). He killed a CEO of an industry that has fucked over literally everyone in America at some point or another—myself included—and denies coverage for medications that often results in death. It’s an industry that makes money when people die. If you think anyone is going to feel sorry for Brian Thompson, there’s like a million people that will disagree.

I never suggested anybody should feel sorry for Brian Thompson lmao what are you on? Brian is dead. This is about Luigi. People who break the laws need to go to trial.

Oh he will. He knew what he was getting into. The terrorism charge is a bit much, but clearly for show. I don’t think anyone expected him not to be charged.

The terrorism charge is because it’s a requirement for First Degree Murder charges in the State of New York. It wouldn’t be there if the crime was in different state.

I’ve seen the manifesto, in it he apologizes to the police but thought it had to be done.

He neither expressed desire for political outcome nor claimed politics as his motivation.

It was about how predatory and evil the healthcare industry is.

Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy. United is the [indecipherable] largest company in the US by market cap, behind only Apple, Google, Walmart. It has grown and grown, but as our life expectancy? No the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allwed them to get away with it.

                  Also the shortest manifesto ever.

But he didn’t outline any changes he wanted to happen other than killing a couple of people for being greedy. For all we know he’s a pure privatization advocate and thinks it’s the citizens responsibility to police it themselves.

Biden worked to forgive billions in medical debt for millions of americans and remove medical debt from credit history.

        Luigi killed one guy.

Seems to me like Biden deserves more praise. Even if you think he is somehow responsible for Israel’s actions, the good outweighs the bad on a scale where lives are equal.

I don’t want to be like Luigi, but only because it wouldn’t play to my strengths. Him going to prison is the trade he made, but not really because it’s what should happen. The law is so opposed to what should happen at this point, that the mob is more likely to make the right decision.

I have no animosity for Bernie, or even AOC, as they’ve normalized democratic socialism for the younger generations. This is a contribution that cannot be understated, as it held back the American left since the dawn of our labor movement. At the same time, Biden is uniquely responsible for Trump winning, while the rest of the Democrats are a barrel of mostly rotten apples. They need to be abandoned ASAP, at least in national politics.

Luigi is more of a hero than almost all Democrats, with fewer bad points and more personal sacrifice. Idolizing him also expands his act of terror against the rich, who have no winning move against it:

      • Act defensive and crack down on the left? Alienate the working class from Democrats.
      • Do nothing? Best option, but the leftist message faces little opposition.
      • Ally with Trump? He’ll gladly accept, but they’ll have less of a voice than with Democrats.

Liberal democracy was done for the moment Biden refused to step back after the midterms. It might’ve been done the moment he won the primary. Democrats refused to save it because of their corruption, and now class war is the best option forward. The alternative is a race war that starts with Latinos; an expansion of the culture war to its inevitable conclusion. The rich are responsible, so we must bring them down with the rest of us.

So instead of being a good apple you want to see and very easily achieving 90% of all of your political stances by voting blue, you want vigilantes to start killing people in the street all across the nation?

        Thats just stupid.

They stopped being able to achieve my political stances. That’s why I’m done with them. I am a strong advocate of harm reduction, but the Democrats failed when Trump won. At a local level, it still matters, but at a national level, they’re all irrelevant now.

I just recognize that the rules changed; you’re still living in the past.

I see people like you trying to change the rules because the game is too hard. Like a child.

The Democrats didn’t fail us. We failed the Democrats. We didn’t show up to the polls.

Nah, the rules aren’t changing because we’re throwing a tantrum. Trump is a fascist dictator who will make the legislature powerless. Again, you’re living in a fantasy of stability. The entitled attitude of the liberal establishment is why Harris lost. They were expecting a free lunch; no radical policies in a system that needed it. People weren’t smart enough to direct their anger, but still smart enough to know things were only getting worse.

I’m extremely insulted that you claim “we” failed the Democrats, when minoritized people like me from solid blue states never could’ve voted any harder. We couldn’t have campaigned harder. We couldn’t have tried harder. We were the only fucking people trying to make liberal democracy work, but the rich got tired of us. You’re a genuine asshole for saying something so out of touch.

When the rule of law crumbles, I can only hope that you help those who need it more than you. I won’t care less about saying I told you so. Just get with the program.

I’m not gonna destroy shit. The Republicans will do that on their own, no matter what we do. We need support that isn’t tied to electoral politics; decentralized and resilient. NGOs for healthcare, food, housing, protection from the state.

Eye for an eye makes everyone blind, yet it’s better than sighted lords ruling over the blind. There will be need for forgiveness, but not now. Retaliation serves a purpose against those who will bully and steal. If the teacher down put the bully in their place, the kid must meaningfully fight back to end the abuse. No amount of groveling will ever stop fascism; only power and violence.

Maybe the Republicans would destroy less shit if we all got our fucking act together and stopped letting them get into office.
