Never has been. Politics has ALWAYS been this way, through millenia. Read Sunzi ( formerly Sun Tzu, aka Master Sun ), about how the supreme general never has to get into battle, simply because the entire region’s too busy prospering, for anybody to be digging-into battle… As machiavellian as some of that book is, that final principle’s right right right. _ /\ _
