Summary
Russia faces a surge in violence linked to soldiers returning from Ukraine, including at least 242 murders and 227 serious injuries. Many attackers, recruited from prisons, had prior convictions and were pardoned to fight.
Official propaganda hails them as “heroes,” allowing some to reoffend without punishment.
Serious crimes in Russia rose nearly 10% in 2023, while military personnel convictions more than doubled in early 2024.
Sociologists warn of growing societal acceptance of violence, fueled by militarization, leniency in justice, and the romanticization of war, as victims fear reporting due to restrictive laws.
So, you are saying that a guy who was in prision for rape/murder, taken to an army where they encouraged further rapes/murders will want to carry on raping and murdering after being discharged? What a surprise!
Sounds like its time for the western world to stop issuing visas to Russians.
I doubt they’d apply for that, but rich russians still have no problems settling there, unlike empoverished ones like me. Albeit biased, I propose checks and deportation of kids of already sanctioned persons, like, putin’s and solovyev’s kids are still in the Netherlands and London, and prigo’s daughter have been seen in Dubai.
Many EU members did, some of them already in 2022.
Russia is creating a breeding ground that will lead to its collapse
It acts normal but the back is full of magots.
And everyone was very surprised.
and russia’s system of torture is currently going global…
