In the first days of the war, Hamas literally spread rumors online that the evacuation orders were a hoax and that everyone should stay in their houses, that nobody should leave North Gaza, or Gaza City.

Hamas actually uses human shields, though, and rewards people for war crimes, such as not wearing uniforms or kidnapping civilians.

So if Israel had any kind of military base near civilian areas, would that mean it’s using Israeli citizens as human shields?
