new phone who dis

Assuming yall are in the know about stuff like this. I need a new phone, last time I bought a Chinese phone it was extremely bad but it was a very cheap one for my father in law. I expected it to be bad but it was so much worse lol

I can't afford flagship anything, what kind of affordable not terrible phones are out there? I've been happy with 2nd tier like Nokia and Motorola phones before, but it's been a long time since I knew anything about the market. I assume there is a midrange equivalent from China (it doesn't have to be Chinese but I figure it might be considering y'all lol)

Mainly I just want to be able to use it without stuttering or slowdown, I won't be playing games on it but I will have hella tabs and be switching between apps a lot. I used up all my patience on keeping this phone limping along for so long
