Monopsony is when there's only one substantial buyer on the market, with many sellers competing to sell their goods or services to that buyer, often causing them to drop their prices to entice the buyer. Labourer's time can also be considered a commodity - a good to be sold to a capitalist purchasing this commodity in bulk.
