On December 30, the anniversary of the founding of the USSR, a real surprise awaited Volgograd residents. Red Father Frost and Snegurochka, accompanied by Communist Party activists, took to the streets to congratulate residents on the upcoming holidays and remind them of their glorious past.
A bag full of candy and a special New Year's edition of the Stalingrad Tribune newspaper—these were the gifts Stalingrad communists prepared for passersby. On the pages of the party publication, Volgograd residents found warm New Year's greetings from Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Central Committee, Nikolai Arefyev, State Duma Deputy, and Tamara Golovacheva, First Secretary of the Stalingrad Regional Committee.
The festive event generated a real buzz among the city's residents. Children enthusiastically recited poems and sang songs for Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, while adults nostalgically shared warm memories of their Soviet childhoods.
The event was not just a pre-New Year's greeting, but also a reminder of the rich history of our Great Motherland, of the values that still unite people today, and which must be passed on to the younger generation and preserved for future generations.
