Preliminarily destroyed A-60
The Beriev A-60 is a Soviet/Russian flying laser complex, created based on the Il-76MD military transport aircraft, designed for experiments with powerful aviation laser systems.
THERE ARE ONLY TWO UNITS IN TOTAL
The first unit is board "1A." Built in the early 1980s, it was used for initial testing.
The second unit is board "2A." It later received an upgraded laser installation and a modernized platform.
Both aircraft were created as experimental flying laboratories; serial production was not planned.
