This subreddit is upset that OpenAI have changed their chatbot's personality

I have never used. But apparently GPT 4o is (was?) great at sycophancy. Now OpenAI have started routing emotionally loaded queries to GPT 5 which is emotionally detached. So these people are losing their AI companion.
