heyy comrades :)<3, i’m finally back online… these past few weeks have been some of the hardest in my life and honestly, i didn’t even know where to start. so much happened while i was away.

first, thank you. we actually hit our goal 5372 usd and i’m still shaking thinking about it. you all really carried me and my sisters through some of the darkest days and i’ll never forget that.

i didn’t get to post sooner because everything just hit at once. our organizer lost his dad suddenly and had to step away, and then also one of my girls got really sick here with malaria and typhoid and ended up in the hospital. it got so bad that the doctors even held onto my phone over the bills. i felt helpless, stressed and scared we wouldn’t make it.

but when i finally got back online, i saw a message from our organizer checking on me, and i confirmed the support had come through. the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. i paid hospital bill, and then went straight to the market because we had nothing left. we got food ,some basics we’d been missing for so long and for the first time in weeks we felt some relief. for the first time in weeks we had something proper to eat. My sisters even smiled when she saw it, and i almost cried… it felt like hope coming back. for the first time in a long while, it felt like a little relief.

and there’s hope too… the canadian embassy has started processing our case. charity is about to do her last interview and then medicals, and if all goes well, she could travel this month or next. after her, olivia will start her process, and maybe me later since i already resubmitted my forms. it finally feels like things might actually start turning around.
