Nigel Max Edge (formerly Sean DeBevoise) killed three and injured at least eight in Southport, North Carolina.
The other, Thomas Jacob Sanford, shot up a church in Michigan, killing four and injuring at least eight, including two children.
The former, Nigel Edge, had received a Purple Heart after being wounded in action and reportedly suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to his deployments to Iraq.
